Here is the focus on which stallions, have what ancestor in the comparative position/s on their pedigrees.

This is an evaluation, of how the stallion will show, "sitting as the top half" of the hypo mating of a foal, obviously the broodmare will be the bottom half.

As such, here is a snapshot of the references:

Pos [the position] refers to Sire and Dam halves of the stallion

• Stallion top half [his paternal half] shows as "S"

• Stallion bottom half [his dam's half] shows as "X"

Line [the pedigree] shows the horizontal line location of the ancestor

The Top half of the stallion

• Line 1 = The Sire line of the stallion - "the top line"

• Line 2 = The Grand Sire of the stallion - "his maternal line"

• Line 3 = The Dam of the stallions Sire - "her Sire line"

• Line 4 = The Dam of the stallions Sire - "her maternal line"

The bottom half of the stallion

• Line 5 = The Dam of the stallion - "Her Sire line - the top line"

• Line 6 = The Dam Sire of the stallion - "his maternal line"

• Line 7 = The Second Dam of the stallion - "her Sire line"

• Line 8 = The tail line of the Dam - "her maternal line"
